  • It will depend on how many stains there are and in how many areas on the bag.
  • Some bags will have stains that have deeply penetrated the leather fibers and therefore be non reversible.
  • Bags with leather that is dehydrated and cracking are not candidates for stain removal.
  • The compromised health does not allow for intensive restorations.
  • We can only surface clean and condition bags with cracks and severe hydration.

  • * please note.... water stains are penetrated into the unsealed leather fibers, unlike sealed leather, Vachetta leather has a beauty that changes color over time, but which also allows exposure to the elements. There is NO ONE PRODUCT, that can remove a stain, like you would a stain on a shirt. This is a very labor intensive process which take experience and requires the proper use of multiple products and many steps. If you try to skip this type of process and use a magic eraser or other chemical, you run a very real and likely risk of turning your Vachetta leather to rawhide, even if it does temporarily look like the stain was removed. The damage is much worse.



THE DETAILS


In addition to reading the details and specifics here, these terms will be written out when you order a restoration service at checkout, they will also be included in an email we send you with our recommendations and the estimate before we start any work. We make sure you are aware of all our terms and in agreement so that there are no misunderstandings.

We pay for shipping to our workshop, which will include coverage for up to $500 in insurance. The return shipping fee is priced into your service proposal and you will see it specifically itemized. Should your items be lost or damaged during shipment to us or from us, you will be responsible for filing the claim with the shipper. Since the claim will be for your bag(s), you will need to provide some form of proof as to the value. This is not something we can do, therefore, this responsibility must fall solely to you. We HIGHLY recommend you take pictures of your bag before shipping it to us in the rare case that you need to file a claim.

- Once your bag(s) are delivered to us, we are responsible for their well being while in our possession. You have coverage towards any damage through your credit card company or PayPal, which you used to purchase a deposit towards services. We want you to have peace of mind you’re covered, but also want you to know that we will treat your cherished bag as if it were our own. We have great respect and honor towards our responsibilities to you.

- Once you Mail your bag to us and we email you our recommendations for services, you have 10 days to either agree, make a change request or disagree and ask us to return your bag to you.

    - if you make a change request, we will make the appropriate change and re send an email asking for agreement with the changes.

    - if you request we return your bag, the deposit we collected will be kept to cover our cost of shipping your item to us and then back to you. Meaning, if you do not move forward with having us provide any services , you will not be entitled to a refund of your deposit.

    - if we do not hear from you within 10 days, on the 11th day, we will ship your items back to you, using your deposit to cover our shipping costs to and from and your will not be entitled to a return of your deposit.

- Once work is completed on your bag(s), and a final email invoice is emailed to you, you will have 14 days from the time the email is sent to pay the invoice before we claim ownership of your bag(s). At which time we will likely sell the bag to recuperate our costs for services completed.

 

- PLEASE NOTE: None of our services are returnable or refundable. All our work is custom done. We will only charge for services we are able to do. We are professionals and provide every service offered to it’s optimal possibility, but we can not perform unrealistic services like turning dark leather back to light, or restoring cracks from age or other for any other reason.

If you feel we made a mistake or missed something, then we will work to fix it, if it is something you paid for in the services proposal/agreement. If after you receive your bag you realize you should have done an add on you left off, you will have to go through the process again and purchase that add on.

We aim for complete customer satisfaction and rely on your realistic understanding of what is possible on our part. Our promise is to do the very best we can with your bag.

This GORGEOUS Louis Vuitton trunk was sent to us to restore in 2022 by a women in New Orleans.

This luggage piece was underwater for sometime after a hurricane in New Orleans. When we received it, it was covered in mold and looked like it was going to be ruled as "junk:. We managed to restore the entire piece as you can see above.
