The new Vachetta leather looks amazing and the bag is greatly improved.
Underneath the lining, LV used a very thin fabric to cover the bottom moon shape of the bag. It’s unfortunate that more and more I see inappropriate construction of their bags. On such a high end bag there should be leather on the inside under the lining. So I added that for you. It will hold the bags shape better. I also added a purse organizer for more structured support and a cute accessory that LV is showing on their new bags.
The piping that was cracked has been repaired using a flexible leather filler. I did the color in a light tan so that it would match the color of the Vachetta as it patinas. The very light color you see now will not stay this light very long. Most of the life of the leather, the light tan I did the piping will match great. The piping will no longer change colors or patina since it’s been covered with a flexible leather filler. The filler is extremely durable!
I am sending Vachetta leather care instructions. You can not use regular leather products on Vachetta leather. Vachetta leather is an artisan leather that is unsealed and meant to deepen in color or patina with age.
I can add a temporary protector to the Vachetta which deters water stains and darkening from hand oils, but it does give a bit of a waxy feel to the Vachetta while it lasts. ( can last up to a year). Just let me know if you’d like me to add this. And I’ll apply it before I shop your bag out.
