This is a Natural Vachetta Leather tassel
Vachetta leather, also known as veg tanned leather, can come in an endless number of shades. When you buy a new bag with Vachetta, it’s in a natural color or “Natty” as we call it in the industry.
Vachetta is a premium cowhide leather that is left UNSEALED, in its natural state. Over time, the Vachetta will develop or patina (deepen in color richness), to a beautiful natural color for a unique, authentic style! Most of the leather we use is sealed. It makes it much easier to care for, but it also lacks the ability to patina once it’s sealed. Be sure to only use cleaning and conditioning products specifically made for Vachetta leather or you will dry out your leather over time and it will crack.
